Contemporary machine embroidery with a distinctive sense of scale.

Olivia Kidston is an emerging textile artist based in Canberra and an Honours graduate of the Australian National University School of Art & Design. Working primarily with machine embroidery, her practice ranges from large-scale immersive textile installations to delicate lace-inspired works. Grounded in an autoethnographic approach, Liv draws on her lived experience of ADHD and dyslexia to explore neurodivergence, gender, identity and embodied experience. Through expressive stitch and tactile materials, her work invites audiences to reconsider difference, vulnerability and the stories our bodies hold.
